Dear JCC Community,

The JCC Engagement and Programming efforts for the summer months of 2021 are well under way and we are excited to have our community members back in our building. The social bonds that are created at community centers are vital in helping to build a strong, safe, and inclusive community and we are thrilled to share some exciting updates.

The JCC has been designated an official hub for the upcoming PRIDEFest in partnership with The Center on Colfax. The Center on Colfax has been open since 1976 and has grown into the largest LGBTQ community center in the Rocky Mountain region. They have given a voice to Colorado’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community and play a pivotal role in statewide initiatives to reduce harassment and discrimination. The JCC is proud to partner with The Center on Colfax during this year’s PRIDEFest and look forward to our ongoing relationship with them. Our PRIDEFest programming schedule includes: a Friday night Shabbat service on June 25 in partnership with Judaism Your Way, a Saturday night Pool Party at our Outdoor Pool on June 26, and there will be exhibitors, food trucks, entertainers, music, and much more happening on our JCC campus throughout the entire weekend. So, mark your calendars for the June 25 – June 27 and be sure to stop by to celebrate and support the LGBTQ community.

There are a number of JCC Family Programs available throughout the summer months. Some are “oldies but goodies” such as art, theatre, and soccer for all of the tots out there. We are also introducing some wonderful new programs including Baby Playgroup and toddler movement classes. Jewish Baby University (JBU) has spots open for the summer session and we are introducing JBU 2.0 for families expecting their second child.

Older Adult Programming is coming back and we can’t wait to see our friends back in the building. We look forward to welcoming our returning JFS meal participants in June and will offer additional older adult programming throughout the summer.

We are busy preparing for a fun-filled and meaningful summer of 2021 – a nice change from last summer when the building and grounds were quiet. We hope you find a program or two that entices you to come back to the building. We missed you and want to see as many faces as we can this summer at the J.

See you soon!
