At the JCC Denver, we’ve been thinking a lot about dogs lately (occupational hazard, it turns out, when so many of your staff are devoted dog parents). And the more we talked about it, the more we realized: beyond enriching our personal lives, dogs reflect something deeply important about who we are and what we value.
Rosalie Wagner
For more than five decades, Rosie Wagner helped keep the JCC Denver running from behind the scenes in the business office she called home. This June, the JCC honored her remarkable 54 years of service with the dedication of her beloved teal typewriter and a commemorative plaque. Through her legacy gift and the generosity of family and friends, Rosie’s commitment to the community continues to make an impact for generations to come.
Swim Safety
Teaching a child to swim has long been recognized as an essential life skill—even in the Talmud. At the JCC, swim lessons go beyond learning strokes, helping children build water safety awareness, confidence, resilience, and independence. Through Swim Readiness programs, camp experiences, and family education, the JCC empowers children and parents alike with the skills they need to stay safe and thrive in and around the water.
