In this group, you will be guided through reflective work to bring new understandings and perspectives about your life, self, values, and Jewish practices. Learning modes include guided conversation, text study, active listening, meditation and meditative movement, exercises, reflection, and journaling. We will meet to learn, share experiences, and acquire skills for making changes that lead to a deeper sense of wellbeing. Some areas we may look at are perceptions and stereotypes, living with loss and change, cultivating relationships, retirement, death, and creating a legacy. Wise Aging is based on the groundbreaking work of Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Dr. Linda Thal, as supported by The Institute of Jewish Spirituality. Please purchase the book “Wise Aging” by Rabbi Rachel Cowan before starting the group. Women aged 60 and up are welcome.
Lori Dube is a social worker, Life Coach, and certified Jewish Mindfulness Meditation facilitator.
