Stepping stones, planters, oversized flower buds, ladybugs, bees and more… These are the objects that students will create in this garden-themed class. We will cast concrete stepping stones inlaid with our own ceramic tiles, use coils to build flowerpots, and sculpt an oversized insect or flower to celebrate summer gardens.
In this camp young artists will be introduced to a wide variety of tools, techniques, and materials for creating art. Try your hand at drawing, painting, mixed media and sculpture, all with an emphasis on personal expression. Students will sketch, design and create their own colorful dragon puppets, finger puppets, and rod puppets. They will also make simple masks and learn the basics of masked acting and puppetry, bringing their characters to life in imaginative stories and skits.
This class will be all about boats. Students will have an opportunity to create sailboats, canoes, rowboats and more using various hand-building techniques. They will also sculpt a handful of treasures to store in one of their boats. If you have a fascination with water vessels, this class is for you!
Come take an inspirational trip to the amazing world of the Amazon Rain Forest. Learn about the animals and plant life that create this unique environment and discuss the fragility of the rain forest ecosystem. We’ll get engaged and motivated by examining the tropical themed paintings of Henri Rousseau and the soft sculpture works of Claes Oldenburg before creating a series of 2-D and 3-D rain forest themed projects.

Fosik. Transform recycled materials, wire, cardboard, and all kinds of found objects into your own unique pieces of art. Explore the path of an artist as we design, problem solve, and think critically in order to turn our 2-D ideas into awesome 3-D sculptures!
Transform your trash into treasures! Using found objects and materials usually discarded or recycled, we will make unique and creative works of art to display, wear and use. How sweet it is! We’ll create cookie jars, ice cream soda tumblers, candy dishes, containers for sundaes or banana splits, cake plates and more. Our colorful containers are just right for holding your favorite mouthwatering delights. Yum!
Learn painting and sketching techniques and complete several fun projects that emphasize creative expression. Each project will explore a different painting skill and we will learn how to use several kinds of water based paint. In this camp, we’ll take a look at some of the castles featured in famous fairy tales. Then we’ll design and create our own 3-dimensional castles using slabs of clay, decorating tools and glazes. We will also create frogs, trolls or dragons to guard the secrets within your castle. Come join us and make the magic happen!
Welcome to the world of cartooning! Each day we will participate in two different comic or drawing games. These activities include daredoodles (turning shapes, letters and numbers into characters) exquisite corpse (students can only see the last panel before adding their own panel to a cartoon) accordions, mad fold-outs, animated flip books, quick draw, and more!
In this studio art experience, you will be able to put to use everything you know about art and materials. You will be free to explore various materials stations in the classroom as you create your own unique solutions to different visual assignments and prompts.
Paper is an unexpectedly versatile material. It comes in dozens of variations and the ways it can be used to make beautiful art objects is limitless. Using paper and cardboard we’ll create cards, collages, sculptures and constructions. Weave it, make mosaics, masks, mobiles, books, and even build a decorative kite to fly!
This is your chance to explore the wonderful world of ceramics by experimenting with a variety of techniques. Create pinch and coil pots, as well as 3-dimensional sculpture while learning about the properties of clay. A pedigreed pup or a ferocious, furry friend—students will get to decide on the qualities of the dog they build from slabs of clay. We will learn about clay construction techniques and use a variety of tools to create detail on the surface of our canine creations. Join the Kennel Club, make a pup, and then take it home with you!
