THE JCC DENVER ANNOUCES ‘FOUNDATIONS FOR THE FUTURE’ ANNUAL DINNER AND RENAMING CEREMONY FOR THE HINENI AWARD IN HONOR OF COMMUNITY LEADER ROBERT E. LOUP — NOVEMBER 9, 2016
(DENVER, CO – June 27, 2016) On November 9, 2016, The Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center (JCC Denver) will host the organization’s Annual Dinner, co-chaired by Robin Chotin and Robyn Loup. This year’s event will pay tribute to community scion Bob Loup, renaming the prestigious Hinemi Award in honor of his achievements in the Jewish community and a role model for all to follow. The Robert E. Loup Hineni Award (formerly The Hineni Award) is the highest community impact award that the Jewish Community Center bestows. It recognizes those individuals whose philanthropic efforts, activism and volunteerism span an array of agencies with local, regional and global impact in the community.
“Bob Loup has made such a long lasting contribution to our organization. He is beloved and respected in the Denver Jewish community,” said Robin Chotin, Co-Chair of the Annual Dinner. “He has inspired several generations of young people to get involved. The JCC is where it is today because of Bob’s hard work as well as those who have supported him in his endeavors throughout the years.”
This year, the Annual Dinner will feature live entertainment from The Capital Steps, the satirical performance group that’s recorded 35 albums over the last 30 years, with appearances on “Good Morning America,” the “Today Show,” “20/20,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Nightline,” CNN’s “Inside Politics,” NPR’s “All Things Considered,” and more, along with performing at private events for presidents, politicos, and the general public at large. http://capsteps.com/
“Our Annual Dinner gives our community the chance to come together in celebration,” said Betsy Mordecai, Chair of the JCC Development Committee. “We put a lot of thought into every detail, and based on our past success, this event is one that our guests look forward to attending year after year.
