It’s springtime in Colorado which means it’s time to shed our winter coats and lace up our running shoes.
Or not, if yoga pants and Netflix are more your thing. Whatever you prefer, here’s our J-approved list of fun events to attend all spring long (pssst…some events are free, which is even better!).
1. Attend one of Denver’s First Friday Art Walks.
On April 4, May 4, and June 1, be sure to head on down to the Santa Fe Arts District after work to check out all of the beautiful galleries, studios, and cultural attractions in one of Denver’s most prominent art districts. Each space stays open late on the First Friday of every month in order to provide a well-rounded night of art, food, and exploration as you tackle the many blocks of free, fun entertainment.
2. Take part in a free walking tour of Denver.
Whether you’re new to town or a native, a free walking tour of our beautiful city is well worth your time. See and experience downtown Denver by taking part in a walking tour that’s offered daily, starting in Civic Center Park. You’ll walk by more than a dozen of Denver’s landmarks and end in front of Coors Field (bonus–catch a Rockies game!).
3. Attend Queer Seder on April 3.
Okay, so this is in regard to staying active in your cultural life, but that works too, right? Join lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and allied Jews along with families and friends to celebrate Passover. It’s the largest Queer Seder event in the United States and we’d love to see you there.
