Want to work on your technical theatre skills? We’re here to help!

Grades 8 – 12

Apprentices will enjoy personal instruction and hands-on experience working with the production’s backstage elements, which include sets, lights, sound and props (costume work not included in this workshop) using the state-of-the-art equipment of the 400-seat Elaine Wolf Theatre.

Students work side-by-side with JCC Mizel Arts and Culture Center’s technical staff and professional designers. Each student then fills a technical crew position for the session’s mainstage production. A limited number of technical apprenticeship positions are offered in conjunction with each Academy Production Workshop.
