An Orthodox single father whose daughter was expelled from school for no reason but her ethnic background decides to run for the city elections and almost single-handedly establishes the Shas political party.
He had no knowledge, no money, no connections and no PR but he had the strong will to take action that would allow him and other Sephardic Jews to hold their heads up high. The film is based in Jerusalem of the 1980s and inspired by the true story of the first ethnic political group in Israel, which today is an empire with half a million voters and significant implications to society.
