The trees are budding, the birds are chirping, and the May snowstorms are slowly but surely winding down.
You know what that means…the countdown to the first day Camp Shai is officially here! We couldn’t be more excited, so get ready to count down with us for what’s in store this summer at Shai.
5. Middle School Art Camp
New to Shai this year, unleash your inner-artist! With four hours a day of honing your artistic ability of choice, the possibilities are endless. Perhaps you’ll tell the adventure of a lifetime through Stop Motion Animation or discuss the merits of otter pops in child development on your very own podcast. You may even decide to build a real working instrument in woodworking. With Camp Shai Middle School Art, the sky is the limit!
4. Thursday Evening Events
What do pizza potlucks, live music, tie-dye, and family game night all have in common (besides being some of the most fun things on Planet Earth)? They are all coming to Thursday Night at Camp Shai! Mark your calendars––every Thursday from 5:30 – 7:00 pm, the whole family is welcome to join in the fun! Whether you’re signed up for Camp Shai, or just wanting to enjoy all that summer as to offer at the J, we hope to see you there! Come share in the Camp Shai community!
3. Survivor
What if I told you that every morning at Camp Shai, counselors furiously compete in things like covering their faces in whipped cream while their teammate throws Cheetos at them and try to make as many as possible stick? What if I also told you that this was all in an attempt to win a large, golden chicken? Welcome to Survivor at Camp Shai. Watch as your counselors spend all summer competing in ridiculous challenges all for the esteemed title of the Ultimate Survivor.
2. Friday Funday
What’s better than Casual Friday? How about a Friday full of dinosaurs! Or a Friday on a pirate ship? Every Friday at Camp Shai is a Fri-Yay. Friday Fundays will be full of costumes and camp-wide adventures! Come dressed as your favorite ancient reptile one week, and as Agent Shai the week after that!
1. SPLASH!
New to Shai this summer, think “Sponge Dodgeball,” “Water Balloon Volleyball,” and “H2O relays” meets team-building challenges. Expect an ocean of fun!
