Resource Guide FAQ’s
What is the purpose of the Resource Guide?
The impetus came out of a somewhat constant call for referrals: “I’m new to town, where should I go for a family-friendly conservative synagogue?”, “Any good bar mitzvah DJ’s?”, “Where can I take adult Hebrew classes?” We know the resources out there are plentiful and want to ensure there is a comprehensive guide with those services for the community to utilize.
In the listing itself is it possible to have a tag line or a short description of what we do?
Yes! If you read about each listing option HERE, you can see both the Ahava and Chaverim listing levels allow for a description of the organization. The Ahava listing allows for up to 120 words and the Chaverim listing allows for up to 40 words.
How frequently will you do a new publication?
This will become a yearly publication to be released every August.
Who will the written guide be distributed too?
The written guide will be distributed to the community at large – they will be available for free to anyone who walks through the JCC Denver. We will also be providing the organizations/businesses that join a handful of copies to give to whomever they choose.
If we buy an ad in the guide, where in the guide does it appear?
The placement will be determined on both the size of the purchased advertisement and how many we receive.
Will the guide on the JCC website be a link on the website or something different?
The online resource guide will be a page on the JCC Denver website.
How long will the guide stay up electronically?
Like the hard copy, the electronic resource guide will be on our website for one year until the next publication comes out. For instance, this first resource guide will be on our website from August 1, 2023 – July 31, 2024.
If we purchase an ad in the resource guide, how does the ad appear electronically?
Advertisements will only be in the hard-copy printed Resource Guide. You can see that information HERE.
How long does the ad stay online?
There will not be an advertisement on our website – only the listing option your organization has selected.
If we do the ad on the monitors at the J for the three months, is it just our logo or can we do a tag line or something similar?
You may create your own “slide” or image for the television with a logo/description/QR code/etc. that meets the requirements of 1920 x 1080 and is a .PNG file or .JPG file.
The material says that if we buy an ad on the TV monitors for 3 months, the ad will get “30 impressions.” What does this mean?
Within a one-hour span, one slide on the TV will be shown 30 times. Right now, we are only utilizing the televisions for JCC programs and events. In the off chance we receive many requests for the TV ads, the “30 impressions per hour” will decrease closer to 20 impressions per hour.
Do the TV ads run in a circle throughout the time you are open?
Yes. We are open 5:30 am – 9:00 pm from Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am – 7:00 pm on Friday, and 7:00 am – 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Other than the logos, what appears on the television monitors at the JCC?
We only have JCC programs and events on our televisions at this time. We are excited to expand our usage of the monitors for the community who participates in the Resource Guide.
Are the monitors in the gym too?
We have TV monitors in the gym, though they are reserved only for fitness and aquatics programs. The four television displays for the Resource Guide advertisements will include those in the lobby (2), by the social hall (1), and by the Early Learning School (1).
