Abbas & Babbas: A Community for New Dads
Abbas & Babbas is a welcoming community for dads navigating their baby’s first years. Designed to support and connect new parents, Abbas & Babbas creates space for men to build meaningful friendships, share experiences, and grow alongside their babies.
Through relaxed, social gatherings and facilitated conversations, dads can:
Connect with other fathers in a similar life stage
Share the joys and challenges of early parenthood
Learn from one another in a supportive, non-judgmental environment
Build lasting friendships within the JCC and broader Denver community
When & Where
Facilitated Conversations
Every other Tuesday
7:00–9:00 PM
Held at JCC Denver
These sessions provide space for guided discussion, reflection, and shared learning around topics relevant to new dads. A licensed therapist is that these sessions to help facilitate the conversations.
Social Gatherings
Every other Sunday
Locations and times vary (parks, breweries, restaurants, museums, and other community spaces)
These meetups are casual and social, offering dads a chance to connect in relaxed, real-world settings. Babies are welcome! They are also welcome to attend Tuesday evening sessions, though we recognize that this time often falls after bedtime for many little ones.
Registration is not required, but registering in advance makes for easier check-in and helps us plan accordingly.
