Policy

Come listen and learn about two historic moments from the comfort of the JCC! In January, learn about righteous gentiles of the Holocaust by exploring the extraordinary courage and heroism of Holocaust Heroes. These “ordinary people” saved hundreds and thousands of Jewish lives during the darkest time in human history. We will travel back in time to learn who they were, what they did, and why. As the Talmud states, “Whoever saves a single life is considered by scripture to have saved the whole world.” In March, for Women’s History Month, explore the answers to the following questions: who was Eleanor Roosevelt and Jacqueline Kennedy? What were their foods, perfumes, decorating styles, relationships, and mothering styles like? What famous quotes are attributed to these two feminine icons of America’s history and culture?
