Street art and graffiti are thriving in Israel. We will look at some of the ways they are used as artistic expression, a tool for protest of civil discourse or for personal expression and how Israeli society is reflected through them.
Osnat Fox is JEWISHcolorado’s Israel Emissary (“Shlichah”), a non-governmental position of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) funded by JEWISHcolorado. Here for four years, Osnat works to be a face of Israel, bring Israel to Colorado and Colorado to Israel in diverse and tangible ways. She works throughout Colorado to educate, connect, and advocate for Israel. She is a resource to our community and a liaison to JEWISHcolorado’s partnership region of Ramat HaNegev in Israel. Her expertise in education enables her to facilitate candid and complex discussions as a means toward improved understanding and connection of people with different views of Israel. Osnat has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education Policy and Management and brings extensive experience in community engagement and education from diverse communities. Osnat is here with her husband, Shalom, a water scientist, and her three young children Shahar, Sagi, and Yogev.
