Mizel Arts & Culture Center:
Denver’s Creative & Cultural Hub

The Mizel Arts and Culture Center (MACC) at the JCC Denver illuminates the human experience through creative and cultural programs in the performing, visual, and literary arts for the Jewish community and the community at large.

The MACC serves nearly 100,000 people a year through a variety of programs and events that serve a broad demographic of cultural patrons. We strive to produce, present, exhibit, advance, and preserve the arts, serving as a performance and exhibition venue and as an educational resource for people at every stage of life.

Our annual events include exhibitions, concerts, films, author appearances, theatrical performances, and literary and film festivals. Facilities include the luxurious 400-seat Elaine Wolf Theatre, the 100-seat Pluss Theatre, a rehearsal studio, clay and art studios, and space for receptions and lectures.

VOLUNTEER AT THE MACC

Support the MACC by giving the gift of time! Our programs would not run without our wonderful volunteers. Our volunteers can do a wide array of duties; anything from film selection and adjudication to selling art during exhibits! Whatever your interest, you’ll find something to love at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center.

Support the Arts!

A festival sponsorship is a great way to spread the word about your business and helps us continue to run incredible programs and events.

What happens when the work required to sustain our families, communities, and cities is finally recognized as art?
What does it mean to be Gratefully Jewish? At JCC Denver, it means celebrating the people, connections, and generosity that make our community feel like home. This year’s TODAH brings that gratitude to life with a little tie-dye, a lot of joy, and a reminder of why Jewish community matters more than ever.
What started as a conversation among friends has grown into KlezKolorado, a celebration of klezmer music, Yiddish culture, and community. Now entering its third year and joining JCC Denver’s JAAMM Festival, KlezKolorado is opening its doors wider while staying true to the community that built it.
There's something fitting about kicking off a festival built around the community with a performer whose entire show depends on it. On October 8 at 7:00 PM, the 2026 Neustadt JAAMM Festival opens its doors with magician and mentalist Max Davidson. If you've never seen his work before, buckle up. This isn't a guy in a tuxedo pulling rabbits out of hats. This is something altogether different: part illusion, part storytelling, part shared human experience, and entirely unlike anything you've seen on a stage.
Each spring, the Mizel Gallery fills with something special: artwork created right here in the JCC’s studios by local artists who gather weekly to explore their craft together. The Interactive Artists Group Annual Art Show is both a celebration of their work and an invitation for the wider community to experience the creativity happening inside the JCC.
Walk through the doors of the JCC Denver on any given day and you’ll see something that rarely happens in a museum or gallery. Children hurry toward ELS classrooms. Teens gather for rehearsal in the Elaine Wolf Theatre. Families and friends gather in the lobby. Members head to the fitness center. Conversations unfold in every corner. And quietly, all around them, art lives alongside these moments. The JCC is a living, breathing organism—not a museum...
