Winter break is an absolute dream when you’re a kid, but for a parent, it can be a struggle to find the perfect place for your child to have fun during their time off. Well, have no fear, we have a cure for that.
Beginning on December 22, Camp Shai is offering Winter Break Camp as a segment of School’s Out Camp and it’s sure to be an absolute blast for your children during their time off from school. Courtney Jacobson, the Director of Camp Shai, says, “Winter Break Camp is the closest we can get to the fun of summer camp with the activities, field trips, swimming, etc.” Children are able to have the time of their life with their peers all while partaking in similar Camp Shai summer activities (despite the lower temperatures). A well-deserved break from academic life, Winter Break Camp will allow your child to feel accomplished and entertained. Creative play will be encouraged, and imagination ignited.
This will also be the first year that Shai is launching age groups to serve the varied ages of campers. It’ll create a small-group feel, as well as allow for more age-appropriate programming. Each camper will be provided with the necessary tools to challenge themselves and learn outside the classroom. Campers will be able to partake in full-day specialty programming such as “PlayWell TEKnologies LEGO Camp,” “Coding with Kids,” and “Art Projects with the MACC Academy.” They’ll be able to take what they’ve learned during their break and transfer it to their educational lives once they return to school.
Winter Break Camp is also a prime opportunity for campers to reconnect with their friends from the summer, including counselors and camp directors. In addition, children who are new to the program will have plenty of opportunities to connect with children their own age. Friendship is of the utmost importance to us during these camps, and we believe each camper will have a new friend by the time their winter break comes to an end.
During Winter Break Camp, Camp Shai will be engaging their favorite vendors from the summer to give high-level programming that allows the campers to have a taste of what’s in store come June 2018.
