Yoga & Pilates Class Descriptions

AGING BODY PILATES ($): A Pilates equipment based class for the active older adult. Non-weight bearing, core strengthening exercises on the Pilates reformer are the foundation of this class.
ALIGN, BREATHE, & FLOW: Combines a harmonious blend of yoga poses, ballet stretches, and pilates toning designed to focus on valuable pose and stretch alignment, functional core strength, and the life force of breath. This practice is ideal for all ages and experience levels
ALIGN & FLOW YOGA: A flowing class that will keep you moving & breathing for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
BALLET BARRE: A unique high energy, low impact class that fuses the principles of classical ballet, Pilates, resistance training, and dynamic postures.
BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE REFORMER ($): An equipment based Pilates Reformer class for the beginner and intermediate Pilates student.
GENTLE YOGA: This class is based around rejuvenating and healing the body. It is held at a slower pace and focuses on stretching all areas of the body while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles. Yoga props such as blankets, chairs, blocks, and straps are used to allow the body to fully achieve each position comfortably.
HATHA YOGA: A traditional style of Yoga, where all the other styles began. It is a gentle lengthening of the muscles, tendons and ligaments that promote flexibility and strength. Suitable for any age and ability and is compatible with any other form of exercise.
HEATED YOGA: Our hot yoga classes are like going to a regular yoga class at 90 – 98 degrees. The heat allows for a deeper muscle stretch and feels great! The class is open to all levels.
INTERMEDIATE PILATES REFORMER ($): Equipment based Pilates class on the reformer. Exercises are at the intermediate level challenging the core and powerhouse more than a beginning level Pilates reformer class. Prior Pilates reformer experience required.
MAT PILATES: A Pilates class for everyone. Pilates is a form of exercise specifically designed to strengthen and lengthen muscles by emphasizing awareness and the use of breath. No prior training required.
MIXED LEVELS REFORMER ($): An equipment based Pilates Reformer class for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
PILATES FOR ATHLETES ($): An intermediate/advanced Pilates equipment based class. Prepares you for athletic activities by challenging all planes of movement, strength, cardiovascular, endurance and flexibility. Prior Pilates reformer experience is required.
PILATES FUNDAMENTALS ($): Equipment based Pilates reformer seven-week course. This course will teach the basics or fundamentals of Pilates on the reformer. Students will learn the Pilates principles, identification of the powerhouse or core muscles of the body, and proper alignment and execution of the beginner Pilates reformer exercises.
PILATES REFORMER ($): An equipment based Pilates Reformer class for the beginner and intermediate Pilates student.
RESTORATIVE YOGA: A rich practice that focuses on deep support, both physically and emotionally. The practitioner is held by bolsters, pillows, and blankets for sustained periods of time in deeply rejuvenating postures.
TOWER/CHAIR PILATES ($): Equipment based Pilates class that incorporates the Tower and Chair apparatus for a core strengthening workout.
VIN YIN YOGA: A combination of strong vinyasa followed by yin slow stretches and relaxing meditation.
YOGA: A meditative form of exercise where postures are performed in a flowing sequence for total body conditioning.
YOGA BEYOND BASICS: Integrates challenging poses with essential yoga moves to build power, precision, insight and ease. Demystifies advanced poses showing you how to sequence and build up to them.
YOGA FLOW: Yoga Flow is a creative intelligent sequence of the pose, movement, and breath that invigorates the body and promotes a peaceful balanced mind. All levels and abilities are welcome.
YOGA SCULPT: Using the foundation of yoga postures and incorporating weight bearing exercises, this class is a total body workout. It is designed to sculpt and tone every major muscle group, pushing your strength and flexibility to new measures.
