In the United States, heart disease is the number one killer of women.
In 2003, the American Heart Association took action against the disease that causes 1 in 3 deaths each year (that’s approximately one woman every minute) by creating National Wear Red Day. On February 2, wear red to show your support for women’s heart health. J Members who are wearing red will receive a signature on their heart if shown to the Fitness & Wellness Front Desk associates.
National Wear Red Day advocates for more research and action for women’s heart health because it’s time to take a stand. It’s time to wear our hearts on our sleeve. It’s time to go red.
