Happy Birthday, America!

Whether this is your first Fourth of July in Colorado or your 50th, take a gander at the fabulous events going on throughout our gorgeous state in honor of the USA’s 242 birthday.

1. Civic Center Independence Eve Celebration: July 3, 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm, FREE

Join our wonderful Denver community at Civic Center Park (Broadway & Colfax) for a free concert featuring Chris Daniels & The Kings and the 101st Army Band of the Colorado National Guard. Enjoy a light show display and dazzling fireworks, along with food truck fare, beer, and wine.

2. Colorado Rockies Post-Game Fireworks: July 3 & 4 @ 6:10 pm.

Bring the fam down to Coors Field and watch The Rockies take on the San Francisco Giants. The game will be followed by a huge fireworks display that’s sure to rock your socks off! It’s one of the best firework shows in town – promise.

3. Stars & Stripes Express Fest at Union Station: July 3, 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm, FREE

Bring the party downtown and celebrate America through the decades with local Denver tribute bands from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and today. Boulder’s Avery Brewing Co. will be on-site offering specials. Be sure to check out Denver’s newly renovated Union Station while you’re there.

4.  Fireworks at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park: July 4 @ 10:00 pm, FREE (with park admission)

Spend your holiday eating cotton candy, riding roller coasters, and lounging by the pool. Then, after you’ve cooled down from all the excitement, watch a spectacular fireworks display light up the Denver night sky. Elitch Gardens is a must for all Denver families.

5.  Paint the American Flag at Sipping N’ Painting: July 4 @ 10:00 am

Sign up to sip some wine, chat with friends, and paint the beautiful American flag. All ages are welcome. Come create your patriotic masterpiece!

6. Bluegrass on the Green: July 5, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Following your festive Fourth of July celebrations, come to our family concert and kosher BBQ (Hebrew National hotdogs are being served) with Nefesh Mountain! Be sure to bring your own blanket and join us at Graland Country Day School to watch a talented musical group combine American and Jewish traditions effortlessly.

7.  Cherry Creek Arts Festival: July 6–8, FREE

Think of this as an extended Fourth of July celebration. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival weekend event is a world‐class celebration of the visual, culinary, and performing arts. This event truly has something for everyone.


Colorado is one of the best places to celebrate the Fourth of July, but don’t just take our word for it.
