Looking for something extra special for your camper this summer? Our Shai Shuffle programs offer unique opportunities for campers to explore many amazing places within the Denver area. Check out our 2024 offerings to see what adventures your camper can go on this summer! 

SHAI EXPLORERS

In 2023, we are thrilled to debut a new program that will be launching in the last few weeks of camp. Shai Explorers is a new variety camp where Camp Shai will be taking campers in grades 2-5 on local field trips throughout Denver and the surrounding area. This program is a great way for campers to enjoy the benefits of day camp while also exploring some of the amazing opportunities that our city has to offer! A finalized schedule of field trip locations will be released in early May. Campers can expect to go on adventures like the Denver Zoo, Miner’s Museum, Golden Splash Pad, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and more!  

EKAR FARMS 

Calling all campers with a green thumb! Get ready to get your hands dirty and learn all about gardening and the local food systems here in Colorado! In this program, campers will travel to EKAR Farm, a beautiful garden on the Denver Academy of Torah’s property, which roots its programming in universal Jewish values of tikkun olam (protecting and sustaining the Earth).

OZERIT PROGRAM 

Do you have a camper in 7th-8th grade that is missing Camp Shai? We are offering opportunities to a few campers this summer to become Camp Shai ozerit or helpers. Interested in learning more? Contact Camp Shai’s director, Sarah Jones via email.

SHAIVENTURE 

Campers experience the two-week, hybrid camp model. Campers attend their first week at the JCC Denver, Mon-Fri, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, and then transition to Ranch Camp for a second week of overnight camp experiences with the same group of children.
