Veritas Productions and Mizel Arts and Culture Center: A Partnership in Spotlight
Veritas Productions is taking center stage once again, this time through an exciting new partnership with the Mizel Arts and Culture Center (MACC). This collaboration will be highlighted with their upcoming production of Jerry’s Girls, a celebration of the legendary works of composer Jerry Herman. Under the direction of Peter Dearth, with choreography by Rebecca Dean and musical direction by Jerimiah Otto, Jerry’s Girls brings together a powerhouse trio of performers: Dana Hart Wright, Ali Chung, and Nancy Evans Begley herself.
“Jerry’s Girls is more than just a musical revue—it’s a testament to powerful storytelling and the incredible women who bring these stories to life,” says Begley. “Our partnership with Mizel Arts and Culture Center is a perfect fit because it allows us to share these iconic works with even more audiences, fostering a deeper connection within the community.”
The collaboration with MACC is part of the Neustadt JAAMM Festival this fall, a celebration of Jewish arts, authors, movies, and music. For Veritas Productions, this partnership is a significant step forward in their mission to create transformative theatre experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
Nancy Evans Begley founded Veritas Productions in 2021, expanding it with Veritas Productions & Theatre Arts, a nonprofit arm, in 2025. While the company has produced successful shows like School of Rock and Nunsense, Jerry’s Girls marks a milestone as it not only highlights the talents of its performers but also strengthens Veritas’ presence through community partnerships.
“Our mission is to cultivate theatrical distinction through our E.P.I.C.C. Standards—Excellence, Professionalism, Integrity, Community, and Collaboration,” Begley explains. “This partnership is a testament to that commitment.”
Begley is particularly excited about the choice of Jerry’s Girls as it perfectly aligns with Veritas’ focus on diverse storytelling. “Jerry Herman’s music gave women some of the most dynamic roles in musical theatre—grounded, earthy, and multi-faceted,” she shares. “This production is a tribute to those roles and to the artists who bring them to life.”
As Veritas Productions looks to the future, its partnership with MACC promises to open new doors for collaboration and innovation. With Jerry’s Girls as the first step, audiences can expect a night of nostalgia, talent, and empowerment, all under the spotlight of Colorado’s thriving performing arts scene.
