JCC Ranch Camp Open for Registration
Saddle up your horses because Ranch Camp Summer 2024 registration is officially open! We are back for another season of jam-packed days filled with picturesque horse rides, nights spent cozying around the campfire under a canopy of stars, and mornings of reciting blessings while linking arms, all against the backdrop of Ranch Camp’s rustic and expansive setting.
Ranch Camp is a place of rich tradition, familiar melodies, energetic Shabbat services at Eddie’s Corner, and community meals—creating an atmosphere of acceptance, understanding, belonging through cultural exchange, restorative justice practices, and the creation of life-long friendships.
The past five summers have seen much success at Ranch Camp. We’ve created more spaces where campers can gather to sing, dance, eat, and play through facility improvements; employed inclusion staff to support campers with confidence, connection, self-expression, and grit; and partnered with Camp Shai to offer ShaiVenture, which gives first-time campers a softer landing into the residential camp life. With ShaiVenture, campers start with one week of day-camp at JCC Denver from 9:00 – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday, and then transition to Ranch Camp for a second week of overnight camp experiences with the same group of children.
Additionally, Ranch Camp remains committed to continuously improving our nutritional and program offerings. Looking to 2024, we are restructuring our food menu to improve both taste and nutritional value by working with local nutrition professionals. This summer, we are adding a new Outdoor Adventure Specialty Camp track for grades 5 – 9, which offers an on-site opportunity that will be challenging and heart-pumping fun.
In addition to the return of the Artist in Residence program, Ranch Camp has many other exciting things in store. We’re inviting prospective families and alumni to join us during summer to celebrate Shabbat and experience the magic of Ranch Camp first-hand.
