Join the J for December Fun

Join us on December 3 for two exciting events: Latkes and Lights (10:00 am – 1:00 pm) and Todah (7:00 – 9:00 pm) for a full day of holiday vibes and community togetherness.

Back for a second year of fun, our annual Latkes and Lights is the Hanukkah hype party your whole family will enjoy. Keep the kiddos entertained with themed games and photo booth fun; fraternize with other professionals over live Klezmer music while perusing our holiday gifts for purchase. Bring your partner, neighbors, children, and friends to munch on latkes and vote on your favorite staff menorahs

Our much-anticipated latke competition brings renowned, local Jewish cuisine to the J, including Rosenberg’s, Safta, Zaidy’s, Latke Love, Levan Deli, and Keepsake Colorado. We will be joined by Louisa Hagemeier, from Challahrado Hearth, who will be giving out samples of fresh pita and olive oil as well as selling babka, challah, and other baked goods.

Think your homemade latkes stack up? Register for our community competition to claim the crown for best latkes in Denver! The restaurant and citizen competitions will be voted on by both community and celebrity guest judges alike.

This event is proudly offered on a sliding scale ticket pricing model.

Drop your children off at home and return to the J later in the evening for our annual Todah event (21+).

Todah will be an evening of fun and entertainment with friends both old and new. Unwind in our cozy lounge while enjoying a refreshing cocktail at the open bar and listening to a curated ensemble of enjoyable classics. Visit our heated, outdoor tent filled with arcade and carnival games, and play your best hand in the casino. A steady stream of delicious nosh, along with a certified Kosher buffet for those who are observant, will keep you fueled throughout the evening as we come together and say, Todah. During the event, there will be a moment of silence in support for Israel.

Get those bids ready as we continue to release and promote items from the silent auction over the next several weeks, all of which offer unparalleled opportunities to experience the many programs, services, and perks that the JCC has to offer members. Entries close on December 3, at 8:00 pm unless otherwise specified.

A variety of sponsorships and ticket packages are still available and include a special VIP reception beginning at 6:00 pm.

Feel free to express your personal style and creativity. Whether you choose to dress up in your finest attire or opt for a more casual look, we want you to feel comfortable and have a fantastic time.

Todah is the JCCs Annual Fundraising event, which raises funds to support every area of JCC programming including the school, camps, senior programs, and young adult and teen initiatives like Jewish Baby University and the Maccabi Games. In recent weeks, the demand for programs and services provided through the JCC has increased exponentially. We hope you will consider supporting the JCC through Todah, and that you’ll mark your calendar to join us for this special evening.
