New Staff Member Highlight; Tammy Brandt
We’re excited to be welcoming a new staff member to the ELS team, Tammy Brandt! Tammy has taken over as the Early Intervention Specialist, and brings so much expertise and wisdom to our team. Read below for her bio and a few of her early reflections from her tenure so far!
My name is Tammy Brandt and I am so excited to work at the JCC as the Early Intervention Specialist. I have a strong background in developmental psychology and intervention, having worked for 12 years as a school psychologist for Los Angeles Unified School District, and then as a staff/clinical psychologist for 12 years with a county agency that assessed individuals with developmental disabilities. I was a core member of the early intervention team and often worked directly with families and other therapists to help young children achieve their potential. I hold a PsyD from the University of Pittsburgh and am licensed as an Educational Psychologist in California. I moved to Denver a little over a year ago and live nearby with my husband and three adult sons (24, 22, and 20), and my golden retriever, Bailey. I have another son, age 25, who is studying in Israel. When not working, I enjoy reading and playing pickleball.
Tammy is already a familiar face at the JCC, having worked in the ELS department supporting the staff and teachers for some time. Given her background and experience at the J, the ELS staff and students are sure to feel the benefits of Tammy’s work. In her own words:
“I look forward to working with the teachers and parents so that all the children can benefit from the wonderful curriculum that ELS provides!”
