Calling all young athletes and artists, engineers and explorers, gamers and goofballs! Searching for a place to spend your summer learning new skills and games, surrounded by friends and top-notch counselors and teachers?

A summer spent at JCC Camp Shai, Ranch Camp, Tennis Camp, or the Wolf Theatre Academy will continue for a lifetime. With specially tailored programs and productions, our campers are exposed to a world of new experiences that will expand their perspective, foster curiosity, and connect them with lifelong friends. Summer camp at the J is a chance for children to step out of their comfort zone and toward their wildest dreams.
Since camps came to a close in August 2022, our superstar staff has been working tirelessly to strategize for summer 2023. Between planning out novel experiences and designing the most exciting games and activities, it’s safe to say the staff is already chomping at the bit for summer 2023!
“We’re excited for the magic to kick off,” says Ranch Camp’s Assistant Director, Katelyn Skeen. “We can’t wait to be back opening our front gate to our Ranch Camp family again!”
Campers interested in the Wolf Theatre Academy will have a treasure trove of productions to choose from, like PUFFS, or Seven Increasingly Event Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, or Something Rotten – two plays with big intrigue and more than a small amount of hilarity. Don’t worry, both productions will present opportunities like Acting and Technical Apprenticeships. For all the younger-aged theatre aficionados out there, the choices range from The Hobbit, Willy Wonka JR., and Frozen JR.
Camp Shai always packs its own bag of tricks, with specialty camps such as Shai Sports and STEAM camps, and in 2023 Camp Shai will be debuting an entirely new camp experience, Shai Explorers! In this specialty camp, campers will have the chance to explore Denver and visit destinations like the Denver Zoo, Miner’s Museum, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and many more.
For an opportunity to defy your limits and define yourself, ‘X’ marks the spot on the gorgeous 388 acres of JCC Ranch Camp. Drawing on strong community ties and Jewish traditions, Ranch Camp is a place to explore nature, build on strengths, and explore new interests. And for those campers who want to raise the “net”, JCC Tennis Camps give you the chance to learn new techniques, perfect skills like serving and game strategy, and play, play, play all day!
Regardless of the camp you choose, you won’t be disappointed. To add to the fun, all camps this summer will have an extra special scavenger hunt theme; campers will get to explore the J all while searching for crafty clues and hidden hints that point the way to unique prizes and – more importantly – lasting friendships and life-long memories.
You may already be aware, or know from personal experience, but studies done by the American Camping Association report that day camp campers learn and grow in ways that impact them for the rest of their lives. We see evidence of this every day at camp, as our campers interact with their beautiful Colorado surroundings, discover the contagiousness of a good belly laugh, and forge new relationships – with others, and themselves. No matter their interests, our campers always come away feeling inspired, invigorated, and empowered by their experiences here.
Although it may be several months away, the promise of JCC Camps is already creating an excited buzz around the J. Is it June yet?
