Hibernation Mode Starts Now
As the leaves finish settling to the ground and the cold weather sets in for winter, Ranch Camp is preparing for its long hibernation until we turn up the heat again in summer 2023. We had a fantastic fall filled with some truly awesome events at camp, including some Live Action Role Playing (LARPing), a few B’nai Mitzvahs, and even a wedding/concert/festival combo weekend!
With the cool weather moving in, think of this as a warming reminder that camp is right around the corner! After just over a week of registration being open, we are around 50% full for next year’s camp season. If you have friends who plan to – or are thinking about – registering, now is the time to take advantage of it. A reminder that we’ve kicked up our referral fee to a $250 discount off registration per newly referred family! If your family wants to take advantage of that, meet up with us and we can talk through the best ways to do so.
The community we built last summer, with our new staffing model and a globally diverse team, made for one of the best summers for our community, ever! This helped us start building a pathway to future summers that will be even more spectacular and keep this camp family together for years to come. There’s a large number of our staff who are already interviewing to come back next year and we couldn’t be more excited to see so many of them wanting to return! Getting to meet with so many of them during the fall and hear about their goals for camp, what they want to bring to the community, and how they want to build an even better summer in 2023, has filled our hearts and souls.
As we work to continue bringing in the best staff in the world, it’s important to note that the experience camp gives you as a staff member and leader can transfer to every field on earth. You learn critical social and management skills that can improve your ability to lead others, help develop a sense of personal independence and decision-making skills, and foster a sense of co-employee compassion and empathy that informs how you show up within a team. That doesn’t even touch the hard skills like advanced wilderness first aid, belaying, horseback riding instruction, facilitation techniques, and activity development. Nor does it touch upon the level of creativity camp instills in each staff member, whether it’s making an hour of a rainy day a little more fun, or bringing out the best Maccabiah of the summer, overnight, while the rest of camp sleeps.
We’re excited for the magic to kick off – we can’t wait to be back opening our front gate to our Ranch Camp family again.
