Our 2022-2023 JAAMM series is in full swing and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome back our bookstore patrons.
That being said, we’re also celebrating the opening of the Jewish Bookstore presented by the JAAMM Series on October 17! This temporary store will be housed in the main JCC lobby from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm until November 3 and you will be delighted to see all of this year’s unique offerings.
And while the Jewish Bookstore is an act of love from all of us here at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, it wouldn’t be possible without our partners at the Jewish Book Council (JBC) and Tattered Cover.
The JBC has been a tremendous partner throughout the years — as the longest-running organization devoted exclusively to the support and celebration of Jewish literature, we couldn’t be more thankful to have their help curating our author events for this year’s JAAMM series.
As for Tattered Cover, they’ve been our tried-and-true book supplier for several years and we couldn’t ask for a better organization to make our Jewish Bookstore possible.
When the bookstore is open, we’ll be welcoming over a dozen authors with books on sale. What’s better than that? You can hear the author speak about their work, purchase their book (if you choose), and meet them! It’s the ultimate book lover experience.
So, what do you say? Bring a friend (or two, or three), Join us in the JCC main lobby, grab a cup of hot coffee, and peruse our expertly-curated Jewish Bookstore. It will be gone before you know it and we’d hate for you to miss out.
