Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center Celebrates 100 Years With
“J” Interactive Installation
Historical photos from the organization will be added to the “J” for the next 100 days
JCC Denver will be installing an eight-foot “J” in the lobby of the JCC Denver to mark our 100th anniversary. The “J” is being revealed on June 10 which is 100 days before our annual fundraising dinner on Sunday, September 18, and where we will officially celebrate our 100 years. Every day leading up to the dinner new photos from the JCC’s history will be added to the sides of the “J” to envelope it in pictures from the past. The art installation will also include an interactive component via iPads surrounding the “J” where guests can learn about the history of the JCC Denver and how and why it was founded.
“We wanted to do something impactful yet celebratory on-site to mark our 100th anniversary,” said Mike Sophir, CEO of the JCC Denver. “This interactive installation is a can’t miss piece that at the end of the 100 days will serve as a glimpse into our important history as a community center and as a place where all are welcome.”
Visitors interested in seeing the “J” in the lobby should visit jccdenver.org for more information and view the lobby’s hours.
