Good morning JCC Friends,

Two-weeks ago, we announced the re-opening of our Fitness Center on May 3. The community response to this news has been overwhelmingly positive with membership contracts pouring in daily. Not only is it exciting to see the loyalty and commitment to the J, it has been amazing to “hear” the excitement in the emails from those of you securing a membership.

We are taking our re-opening as an opportunity to create an increased focus on an improved experience for J members, whether in-person or online in the comfort of your home.

During the month of May, we have fun and exciting things planned for each time you visit the J. A calendar highlighting these special experiences will be available shortly and shared with all of our members. A brand-new virtual platform, with live and pre-recorded fitness classes, personal training, and wellness programs is also in the works. This platform can be accessed free of charge as part of your membership and we hope you enjoy it. A new mobile app is being finalized, which will allow you to easily check-in, reserve a lap lane, view group exercise schedules and reserve a class, and purchase Personal Training, Pilates, or swim lesson sessions. Back in April of 2020 (which feels like another lifetime ago), we launched a completely revamped website intended to make finding program and event information easier on both desktop and mobile devices. Cleaning and sanitizing, while always an area of focus, is now managed by a new housekeeping team who has spent time during the closure improving our cleaning processes. Our security staff understands the property and will continue to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors is in a safe environment. Parking lot signs have been updated to make it easier for guests to locate where to park for our various programs and events. All of our JCC team members will wear name tags, so you can  put a name to that warm face that greets you each time you enter the J. With these efforts and more, we are confident that you will experience an increased customer focused JCC when you return to our community center.

Not everyone is ready to get back to the gym right now, however, we are working to make sure that you have all of the information you need at your fingertips when you are ready. The best resource to answer most questions is our Frequently Asked Questions page on our website. This page is updated daily with new information regarding current safety protocols in place, fitness program updates, how to join, what programs will require reservations, and much more.

In addition to the website, you can subscribe to receive email updates on the Fitness Center Reopening by clicking here and choosing “Fitness” or “Aquatics” as an area of interest. If you would like to talk to talk with a person, we have some of those available too! WTS International, our Fitness & Aquatics Center management partner is building a dedicated sales team to support Judy Swesey in the Membership Office. This team can be reached via email or by calling them at 303.316.6308. Until this group is firmly in place, a familiar face and voice, Judy Swesey, is happy to answer any questions you have. She can be reached by via email or by calling 303.316.6369.

As always, if you have any questions about the J, Fitness related or not, you can always email us at info@jccdenver.org and we will respond to you within 72 hours.

Thank you to those who have re-joined our Fitness Center. We are looking forward to seeing you in person very soon. For those who are still deciding, we hope to see you back in the near future. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We have all kinds of programming at the JCC outside of Fitness and Aquatics that we hope you will take advantage of in the coming weeks and months. To learn more about these programs and events, check out our “new” website.

We look forward to seeing you in just 10 short days!
