We are thrilled to welcome the tremendous Meredith Friedman as our new Chief Development Officer!
A native of St. Louis, Missouri and a graduate of both the University of Missouri – Columbia and Washington University in St. Louis, we are proud to introduce our newest staff member here at the J.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Colorado?
I love waking up in the morning and looking at the beautiful mountains.
What are you looking forward to in your new position as CDO?
I’m looking forward to building relationships with JCC supporters and helping to further the mission of the J.
And did you grow up with a JCC? Have you always been involved in JCC programming?
I didn’t grow up at the JCC, but my kids did. They went to camps, participated in the youth theatre, youth groups, and as teenagers, hung out and worked out regularly.
What are you looking to achieve in your new role here at the J?
I hope to continue working with the team to ensure that the JCC Denver is here for our kids and grandkids.
On the weekend, what are you most likely doing?
Running and running errands. We have been trying eating out a ton trying new restaurants. We can’t wait for life to settle down a bit so we can begin to explore Colorado!
What is your favorite quote/personal motto? Why?
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi. I was raised to live by this and have raised my kids to also live by this.
What’s one fun fact you can tell us about yourself?
I’m a huge St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan. Since St. Louis has no football team, our family have become Broncos fans.
Meredith is a wonderful addition to our family here at the J and we can’t wait for you all to meet her.
