Our 12:30-4 p.m. or 12:30-6 p.m. sessions include a rest period, a snack, and daily swim and playground time. Children can choose organized group activities or self-directed play. Activities range from arts and crafts to science, outdoor painting, gardening, stories, cooperative games or just relaxing with friends. A daily afternoon splash in the pool is offered (potty trained) to children in the older extended-day groups. Children enrolled in Extended Day are escorted from their morning camp group by our staff.

Parents must register for the Extended Day program in person at the ECC. Limited drop-in spaces may be available depending on the day and time. Drop-in spaces are only available to Camp Shalom campers. Reservations for drop-ins must be made at least 24 hours in advance and cannot be cancelled. There are no refunds for unused drop-ins. There is no drop-in service for the extended-day program during the first week of camp. There is no extended day during the two weeks of Post Camp as those programs run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
