Temple Micah
Hark, the dinner bell is ringing for all latke
cooks and latke lovers! Get a jumpstart on
Hanukkah at Temple Micah’s 2nd Annual
Latke Cook-Off on Saturday, Dec. 20. The
event benefits this friendly, inclusive reform
congregation led by Rabbi Adam Morris at
2600 Leyden St.The first cook-off drew over
100 enthusiasts,with entrants competing for
culinary prizes by submitting their favorite
recipes for latkes and condiments. Most participants
were content to nosh and vote on
the contestants’ samples. These recipes plus
little-known latke lore comprised a souvenir
cookbook. Such a luscious time was had by
all that Temple Micah plans to stage its
cook-off this winter at a fully equipped
kitchen, where latke chefs can cook on site
instead of reheating home-made treats. To
enter latkes or to be a taster, contact Lori
Goldman, fundraising subcommittee chair,
via the Temple Micah office at (303) 388-
4239 or office@micahdenver.org.To find out
more about TempleMicah, visit us online at
