Jewish Life & Learning

Through educational, cultural and social programs that are open to anyone, The JCC Denver inspires individuals and families of the Denver Jewish community to pave their very own Jewish path in a safe, comfortable and accepting setting. Whether it is participating in our Friday mornings Shabbat Sing with the preschoolers, attending holiday events or even reading about the Jewish artists whose art fills our walls with their inspiring pieces, we offer a unique, pluralistic environment, and Jewish programming that attracts people from all backgrounds, observance levels, experiences, denominations, affiliations and orientations. No matter your participation level, our goal is to offer you with opportunities to enrich your Jewish understandings and Jewish Life.

Our Mission

The Department of Jewish Life and Learning strives to realize the vision of the JCC Movement Statement of Principles for the 21st Century in a variety of ways:

  • Through department collaboration to integrate, strengthen and deepen Jewish components
  • Offer Jewish learning opportunities to the JCC staff
  • Serve as a resource to JCC members who seek guidance for their individual Jewish journeys
  • Provide opportunities to enhance awareness and understanding of Israel
  • Offer community celebrations and learning
  • Build relationships with other Jewish organizations to explore collaborative programming and strengthen the Jewish community
