Winter break is around the corner and many working families are faced with the challenge of what to do with their children during the work week. The JCC has a solution for your family with its youth programs for school-age children. Your child will enjoy our winter break camps during the two weeks of winter break (Dec. 19-30), as each are packed with activities, field-trips, and friendship!
Two sessions are offered, week one from Dec. 19-23 and week two from Dec. 27-30. Full day runs from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. but there are extended day options including sunrise from 8-9 a.m. and sunset from 4-6 p.m. Families can enroll their children for an entire week or for select days during the week. Children will have a blast swimming, creating art projects, playing games, going on field trips, messin’ around in the gym, and participating in other camp activities. “Camp is one of the few times children have the opportunity to fully engage their playful spirit in a fun and nurturing environment,” said Jason Gold, youth programs coordinator.
Another winter break option for Lego-loving children is our winter break Lego camps. These half-day programs during the weeks of Dec. 19-30 include Pre-Engineering for ages 5-7, Engineering Fundamentals for ages 7-12, Jedi Engineering for ages 5-7, and Engineering Challenge for
ages 8-12.

Enjoy a Saturday Night Out while your children, ages 5-12, participate in a Saturday Night Out of their own at the JCC. The next Saturday Night Out is on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 6 – 9 p.m. Your children will enjoy swimming, a pizza dinner, art, and games. Register your child — for the cost of a babysitter — $25 per child and $18 each additional child.
Club J, a new youth program at the JCC, offers after-school programming with activities ranging from swimming, athletics, art, and much more. “Since the program’s introduction in August, the program has grown to upwards of 15 children daily”, said Gold. “These children continuously make new friends, build long-lasting relationships, and participate in enriching new experiences. I look forward to laughing, getting messy, and having a blast with Club J children and winter break campers.”
