Leah Cohen Festival of Jewish Books and Authors

The author component of JAAMM Fest is our annual Leah Cohen Festival of Jewish Books and Authors, the launch point upon which this expanded festival is based. The book festival opens on October 26 with our 2-week book sale held in the JCC main lobby. Over a dozen author appearances and discussions are slated for the festival period, and a One Book - One Jewish Community reading program for the JCC/MACC communities is also planned to run concurrently with JAAMM Fest.

The inaugural One Book - One Jewish Community reading program will feature The Zookeeper’s Wife by Diane Ackerman. Serving as a pre-book festival author lecture, the MACC will host Diane Ackerman’s author appearance on Wednesday, October 22 at 7 p.m.
