groupWe have multiple group exercise studios and offer a wide variety of classes including Yoga, Spinning, Pilates, Step, Fitness Fusion, Zumba, Body Sculpt, and Low Impact aerobics – all taught by certified instructors. Group exercise classes are complimentary with a Sports & Fitness Center Membership.

Popular Classes


Step
A traditional step class that incorporates moderate choreography and cardio intervals.
Sundays 9- 10 a.m.


Advanced Step
High intensity step aerobics class with advanced choreography focusing on cardiovascular fitness.
Tuesdays 9:30 – 10:45a.m. & Thursdays 9:30 – 10:30a.m.


Mat Pilates
A Pilates class for everyone. No prior training required. Pilates is a form of exercise specifically designed to strengthen and lengthen muscles by emphasizing awareness and the use of breath.
Mondays 8—9 a.m., Thursdays 10:30—11:30 a.m., Fridays 8—9 a.m. & Sundays 10:30—11:30 a.m.


Power Sulpt
High intensity total body conditioning class that uses bands and weights.
Wednesdays 9:30—10:45 a.m., Fridays 9:30—10:30 a.m.


AquaFit
afTake your workout to the pool with this invigorating, non-impact class. Use water resistance to develop strength and cardiovascular endurance. Swimming experience is not necessary. Appropriate for all levels of fitness. Please see our indoor pool schedule to find a time that suits you best.

Hit the road and take a ride on a stationary bike with our staff. Energetic music guides this class that will challenge the advanced exerciser and welcome the beginner.

This high-energy class combines both aerobic and weight conditioning and includes bosu, kickboxing, step, sculpt, pilates, yoga and hi/low aerobics.

coreCore Fit
This class is dedicated to strengthening the muscles of your trunk and spine to help you increase balance, stability, and flexibility.

aaArms & Abs
You got it! This 25-minute energized class is all about sculpting arms and strengthening the abdominals.
Wednesdays 5—5:25 p.m.

bootBoot Camp
The Boot Camp class is geared for the advanced participant. The format will include cardio and strength training sections utilizing a variety of methods and equipment. We will use the gym, kickboxing, various drills and outdoor activity(during good weather) will be used to exercise the cardiovascular system while weights, bands and their own body weight will be used to increase overall strength. Participants will be encouraged by the instructor and fellow campers to push themselves in achieving a higher level of fitness. Monday 8:30-9:30 a.m.,

gbGuts & Butts
This specialized 25-minute class is devoted to lower body (gluteal) and abdominal strength work.
Mondays 5—5:25 p.m.

zumba2Zumba
Join the party! In this hi/low aerobic workout, you’ll groove to Latin music with fun dance moves.

NIA is a fun fitness fusion program developed through the sensation of joy and pleasure. NIA combines non impact movements from dance, yoga and martial arts, blending great music, vocal sounding and playful self-expression.
Sundays 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Sundays 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Yoga
A wide variety of Yoga styles and levels are offered to suit the novice through advanced levels. Participants learn proper breathing techniques and full body alignment. Instructors guide each participant through a series of progressions to maximize individual results.

A meditative form of exercise where postures are performed in a flowing sequence for total body conditioning.

Hot Yoga

With a room heated to 90-105ºF, Hot Yoga facilities deeper stretching, injury prevention, and stress tension relief, compared to traditional yoga settings.

Yoga Flow
These classes feature classical yoga postures guided by breath specifically designed to increase strength and endurance.
Wednesdays 5:30—6:30 p.m., Thursdays 5:30—6:30 p.m.

hathaHatha Yoga
A blend of traditional yoga styles as described above, with an emphasis on core strength, flexibility, balance, as well as concentration and breath control. This type of yoga is based on asanas (poses), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.
Mondays 6:30—7:45 p.m., Wednesdays 6:15—7:15 a.m., Fridays 8:15—9:15 a.m. & 9:30—10:30 a.m.

iyIyengar Yoga
Classical yoga postures are taught with an emphasis on dynamic precision and alignment aided by props to maximize opening and awareness.

powerPower Yoga
This style of yoga is designed for the athlete. This high energy class will raise your heart rate and push your muscles to the limit.

syYoga Level 1
This gentle yoga class is designed to increase flexibility and strength through postures.

SeniorFit
Man Running On Treadmill At GymSenior Fit Classes are appropriate for those people looking for lower impact exercise that incorporates fun and energy! These classes are complimentary for JCC Sports & Fitness Center Members. Senior Fit Class Cards are available for a small fee. Low Impact
No bouncing in this group class – one foot stays on the floor at all times! Core conditioning and overall toning are incorporated. This class is ideal for members with arthritis, pre-natal or senior fitness participants.

Arthritis Foundation Aqua Fitness
(sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation)
Take advantage of the comfort and buoyancy the water provides to improve your coordination, endurance and your ability to perform daily tasks. All class exercises meet Arthritis Foundation standards and are adaptable to your own capabilities.

T’ai Chi Chuan
In this class, you’ll learn gentle movements that combine stretching and non-impact cardiovascular work.
