You’ve asked and we’ve listened…Music classes will be offered on Tuesday afternoons and Sunday mornings and tumbling will be held on
Thursday afternoons and Sunday mornings, in addition to our regularly scheduled morning classes.
Rachel Greengard-Galt returns this fall as our weekday morning music and movement teacher.
Rachel is the owner of Executive Arts LLC which features Play On! Creative Arts classes at metro Denver schools year-round. She holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University and an MBA from CU Denver. Rachel is a former Music Together instructor and taught for several years at the JCC in the MACC theater department and as the music and tumbling teacher for the Family Programs department. We are thrilled to have Rachel back.

Welcome Back

Talk and Tumble
Introducing a new parenting/playgroup class for veteran moms with a new baby and a toddler! Bring your new baby and your toddlers for open play in our tumbling room, every Monday morning from 10:30–11:30 a.m.
TUMBLING
Tumble Bugs – Children ages 8 weeks to pre-crawling.
Thursdays, 11:45 a.m.—12:30 p.m. or 5—5:45 p.m.
Parents and caregivers share information and enjoy support in a comfortable, safe environment enjoying free play, songs, bubbles, games and exercise. This is a great way to introduce early socialization skills andmeet other families in the community.
Mini Tumbling – Children crawling to 17 months.
Thursdays, 9:45—10:30 a.m. or Sundays, 10—10:45 a.m.
This class focuses on gross motor development for children who are in various stages of walking. Wobblers to confident movers explore our tumbling equipment, including balance beams, trampolines, tunnels, balls and more.
Maxi Tumbling Tots – Children 18 to 36 months.
Thursdays, 10:45—11:30 a.m. or 4—4:45 p.m.
For the older toddler who is a confident mover and shaker, but isn’t quite ready to be completely independent. Cooperative games with children of a similar age are introduced with parental/caregiver support.

MUSIC
Boogie Babies – Children 8 weeks to pre-crawling.
Mondays 11:45 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
Created for pre-crawlers and their parents, this class provides new and fun ways to bond with your babies using singing, finger-plays, nursery rhymes, instruments and movement. Come and nurture your baby’s natural musical abilities in this fun class.
Jammin’ Tots – Children crawling to 36 months.
Wednesdays 9:30—10:15 a.m. or 10:30—11:15 a.m.
This class is designed for parents and their children who are on the move. Parents/caregivers support their children as they explore and discover their own abilities to sing and move to a beat. Activities include singing, dancing, instrument play, creative movement, rhythm exploration and pure fun. Due to the popularity of this class, it is offered at two different times.
Move it Move it! – Children 2—3 years (NEW CLASS)
Mondays, 9:45—10:30 a.m.
This class introduces movement and dance to your toddler and covers movement concepts including tempo, size, and balance. We will use rhymes, stories and music to explore new ways to move!
Mixed Age /music/Makin’ Music – Children 8 weeks to 4 years
Sundays 11—11:45 a.m.; Mondays 10:45—11:30 a.m.; Tuesdays 6—6:45 p.m.
Babies love to watch older kids, and older kids love to be leaders in this fun mixed-age class. Parents/caregivers support their children as they explore and discover their own abilities to sing and move to a beat. Activities include singing, dancing, instrument play, and rhythm exploration. Play with egg shakers, rhythm sticks, bells, drums and more. This is a great class for siblings of different age and ability levels.

YOGA
Mommy and Me Yoga/Baby Massage
Moms with children newborn to pre-crawling
Fridays, 10:45—11:30 a.m.
A calming and restorative experience for mom and baby, this class focuses on unique yoga postures designed to help moms get back in shape. Each class is filled with calming, nurturing ways to enhance bonding while mom exercises, and opportunities to socialize with other new moms.
Yoga Tots
Children 12 to 30 months
Fridays, 9:45—10:30 a.m.
This is a supportive, fun-loving, and active yoga class – no experience necessary. Toddlers will be introduced to the fundamentals of yoga through a series of lively and fun poses – downward dog, cat/cow, triangle pose and more. Benefits include: frustration release, gross and fine motor skill development, improved balance, coordination and concentration.

ART
Artistic Tots - a whole body experience -For children 15 months to 3 years.
Mondays, 9:30—10:15 a.m.
Explore the world of textures, colors, shapes and self-expression in this introductory art class for parents and their young children. Caregivers and children can relax and have fun while participating in experiences such as body painting and play dough art. Be ready to make a mess that you don’t have to clean up at home!
Session I: Oct. 4—Nov. 1, five weeks

Introducing our instructors:
Casey Feicht
Casey Feicht has a degree in exercise physiology and has been teaching fitness classes for 18 years. Casey is a well known Post Natal Yoga instructor in the Denver community. She has been teaching Baby and Me and toddler yoga classes consistently for several years now. Her daughter Grace is a natural yogi at 3 years old. Casey’s classes include fun songs, movements with baby and parents together.
Lorie Savinar
Lorie has worked with young children in many different capacities since she was a teenager. Most recently she taught preschool for 7 years at Temple Emanuel. Her passion, besides working with children, is art which she loves sharing with the children she is fortunate enough to work with. “Not much makes me happier than to see a child experiencing art.”
Tal Kamien
Tal earned her BA magna cum laude in Physical Education from the prestigious Wingate Institute of Physical Education in Israel in 1999. Tal has been teaching fitness, health and wellness for the last 14 years working with children and adults of all ages. Along with her professional skills, Tal brings a positive energy and attitude to her classes. Tal is married and has two children ages 6 and 8.
Nadia Sonkina
Nadia is currently a student at the University of Denver where she is working towards her degree in Law and Society. She has over 10 years of experience working with young children as a teacher in a preschool/kindergarten setting, and is an active member of the Colorado Women’s Chorale. Nadia hopes to bring her experience to the classroom where “making music” can be fun and accessible for everyone.
Jenny Fleming
Jenny has been teaching pre/post-natal yoga for more than 10 years since she was pregnant with her first child. She is trained in Iyengar yoga and is a massage therapist and registered nurse. Jenny’s yoga classes are safe and geared toward each individual’s needs. She has two daughters, ages 9 and 7.
Kristin Ogg
The JCC is excited to have former JCC Music teacher, Kristin Ogg, back to teach our Sunday morning music classes. Kristin is a trained Music Together teacher and graduated with a minor in music in college. She is also a gifted musician, playing flute, violin and piano and loves to participate in choirs. She brings wonderful energy, extensive experience and a love for music to her classroom.
