K-MACC (Kaleidoscope at MACC)

Dance Kaleidoscope is delighted to announce a new collaboration with the Mizel Arts and Culture Center (MACC) – Kaleidoscope @ MACC or K-MACC for short! MACC has illuminated the human experience through creative and cultural programs in the performing, visual and literary arts for over two decades. MACC is lead by executive artistic director Steve Wilson, who has been directing, administrating, teaching and performing in Denver for the last 25 years. In addition, Steve has served as the Resident Director/ Artistic Director for the PHAMALY Theatre Company for 12 years (where he has worked extensively with Debbie Stark). He garnered awards for “Best Director” from both the Denver Post and Boulder Dailey Camera, as well as four Henry Awards (Colorado’s Tony Awards). The Wolf Theatre Academy, which is a program offered through MACC, is one of Denver’s most respected and professional theatre experiences for young performers.

Play-Well TEKnologies

Play-Well TEKnologies was founded by Tim Bowen in 1997. Introduced to the LEGO® building system in 1996 and recognizing it to be both a popular play medium and a tremendous learning medium, Tim began to develop projects which drew on his professional experience and combined the elements of fun, challenge, and learning. He began operating a summer camp program in 1997, followed by afterschool enrichment classes in 1998. With steady growth of the company, project development is now undertaken by a staff of instructors bent on constantly improving the programs.

At Play-Well TEKnologies we strive to:

  • Build problem-solving skills
  • Provide an opportunity for creative expression
  • Foster a greater appreciation of how things work
  • Encourage the qualities of inquisitiveness, self reliance, and self confidence in children

Mad Science

Mad Science delivers unique, hands-on science experiences for children that are as entertaining as they are educational. Mad Science encourages scientific literacy in children in an age when science is as vital as reading, writing and arithmetic, and we don’t stop there!

For over 25 years, we have invested in research and development and continue to do so. We believe in the importance of being at the forefront of our industry and continue to create hands-on science programming for kids. Our approach to teaching science invites children to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers.

Young Rembrandts

Founded in 1988 by Bette Fetter, Young Rembrandts has become a recognized leader in art education. What began as one person, working with children in her home, has developed into an international business that teaches drawing to thousands of students every week.

Research and education experts say what Young Rembrandts has always delivered: There is a significant correlation between involvement in the arts and achievement in the classroom. Children who learn to draw using the Young Rembrandts method develop spatial reasoning and fine motor skills, order and sequencing abilities, visualization, and self-discipline as well as fundamental art skills. Our original curriculum introduces concrete ideas and techniques that enlarge their visual vocabularies, enrich their imaginations and their minds.
