JCC and MACC Camp Philosophy
We strive to provide a nurturing environment that fosters self-confidence, Jewish identity, community consciousness, integrity and respect for others. Our camps teach universal values helping your child to embrace new concepts, develop independence and create meaningful friendships. We welcome campers from all religious and cultural backgrounds.
Camp Shai
Kindergarten—grade 10, multiple-week sessions, full-day (9—4 p.m.)
NEW for Summer 2012 – Adventure for every age!
Distinctive camp groups for young children, pre-teens and teens with age-appropriate activities providing entertaining and challenging experiences to keep your child engaged all summer.
Chaverim (Friends) for grades K–2
A diverse mix of recreational activities including daily swimming – both instructional and free swim, sports, Israeli culture, Shabbat celebrations, music, nature and specialized art.
Tze’Adim (Footprints) for grades 3–5
Experienced campers will develop interests and skills in new areas, with a choice of two different chuggim (activities) each week. Mornings include daily instructional swim or water sports activities plus free swim once per week, Jewish life, Israeli culture and music, while afternoons are spent in chuggim.
Sababa (Cool)/On-the-Road for grades 5–8
“On The Road” campers challenge themselves as they embark on adventure-filled field trips each day of the week including hiking, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, swimming at the JCC, mountain biking and more. Overnights include river rafting and horseback riding. Fridays will offer an opportunity to participate in community service projects in the morning, and Shabbat celebrations in the afternoon.
Habonim (Pioneers)/Counselor-in-Training for grades 9-10
Blaze the way for future generations. This Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a leadership development program that provides hands-on learning experiences and is designed to prepare older children to become future leaders and camp counselors.

Camp Shai is where you are! Our two convenient locations accommodate both Denver and South Denver families. The large fields, spacious classrooms and multi-purpose spaces at each location provide many advantages for JCC camp programs.

Transportation
Transportation will be available round trip from the Stapleton area to the JCC and from the JCC to Denver JDS. JCC camp buses will be provided and operated by the professional drivers of Littleton Public School District.

Sports, and Swim Camps at the JCC
Children can stay active all summer by participating in sports activities, such as tennis, swim lessons, Sea Stars Swim team, Serve, Snack and Splash, Baseball, Basketball, Multi-sports and more for every interest and skill level.

Camp Shalom at the Early Childhood Center at the JCC
The ECC offers a child-centered curriculum, a focus on nature education and learning that fosters children’s inherent curiosity and imagination.
The ECC introduces young children to the fun of summer camp. Children enjoy weekly special events, such as field trips, swimming and Shabbat sing.

Illuminating the Human Experience
The MACC art and theatre programs at the JCC campus provide acclaimed cultural programming in theatre and visual arts.
Art Academy for Grades 1-12
11 weeks of full-day or half-day programs from June–August
Our dynamic program includes everything from traditional art forms like drawing, painting and pottery to contemporary media classes in digital photography and film making – and everything in between.
Wolf Theatre Academy
12 weeks of theatre for grades preK–Grade 12 from June–August
One of Denver’s most professional theatre experiences for young performers, offering fully mounted productions, and classes in creative dramatics, beginning dramatics, audition skills and more.

JCC Ranch Camp
For campers entering grades 2–11, Ranch Camp provides an over night camping experience that enables children to strengthen their Jewish identity, become more caring members of society and connect with the natural world through challenging, fun, growth-oriented activities.
Located on 400 acres of ranch land in Colorado’s magnificent Black Forest in Elbert County, Ranch Camp offers 7, 12, 14, 19 and 28-day sessions and has a supervised kosher kitchen.
Our traditional Camp program for campers entering grades 2–7 offers a variety of activities including: low and high ropes course, zip line, rock wall, swimming, teva (nature), archery, horseback riding, canoeing, mountain biking, sports, dance, drama and art.
The Equestrian Camp and Ninja Acrobat Camp are specialty programs offered for campers entering grades 5–9.
Teen travel programs offered for campers entering grades 8–10 include: back-packing, white water rafting, a day at the hot springs, volunteer opportunities, mountain biking, rock climbing and a horse pack trip.

Tennis Center Camps
Ages 5-15, one-week sessions, morning or afternoon
Children of every skills level can play tennis all summer long on our indoor, outdoor, or clay courts.
