Q: Ali, is what is going to happen with tennis?
A: Tennis is alive and well at the J Denver. Jim and Stacy Swiggart are an amazing duo, and have assembled an incredible team of pros and desk staff that have brought tennis back in full force. Jim and I are hard at work on communication to the entire community about next steps for tennis, and will be in touch in the next few weeks with our plans.
Q. Why are there hand rails on only one side of the stairs in the theatre?
A: To meet ADA code while not obstructing patrons views when attending events the handrails were placed on the center side of the aisles. We ask patrons to let us know when they need extra assistance so staff can help.
Q: Will the stairs that lead to Dahlia be rebuilt as part of the upper parking lot construction plan?
A: Yes, the staircase will be rebuilt.
Q: I invite you to consider keeping the outdoor pool open year round so those of us who are strong swimmers. I’d be willing to sign a waiver if that’s what it would take to keep the outdoor pool open year round.
A: Our outdoor pool is open year-round. However, we currently have a rule that if the outside temperature dips below 35 degrees, we will close the outdoor pool. At this point in time, we are researching this decision to close based on outside air temperature as we have learned that there are other outdoor pools in the Denver area that stay open regardless of outside temperature. We are working hard to meet the needs of our members, and will be in touch as soon as we have any new information on this issue.
